The Redwood Tree
The Redwood tree is considered the tallest tree in the world. The current largest tree named “Hyperion”, stands at 115.92m tall, found in California. Redwoods (Giant Sequoias) can live for thousands of years, with entire ecosystems surviving high above the ground within the branches. Seen as ornamental trees, it is an evergreen with thick reddish-brown bark, their branches form a dense cone shape towards the top while lower branches swoop downwards. They have adapted to be fire resistant due to growing in fire prone areas, but are now considered endangered.

The Design Inspiration
Our Redwood cutlery range takes inspiration from the hollowed shape inside of some of the oldest tree trunks combined with the shape of the traditional violin case form. The handle follows this curved shape and features a hollow on the forks and spoons which delivers lovely reflection back to the eye. Made using high quality 18/10 stainless steel, our Redwood cutlery sets are available in a polished mirror finish only. Suits both contemporary and traditional table settings.
