Grove Serving Tongs

Grove Serving Tongs

Form Follows Function

Grove Tongs take inspiration from the curved roots of the Mangrove Tree. The Mangrove is a small tree that grows in coastal saline or brackish water. Mangroves grow worldwide in the tropics and subtropics, mainly between latitudes 25° N and 25° S

Grove Tongs are designed with careful consideration to function and ergonomics. William designed the dynamic look of the tongs, to give the appearance of the tongs floating architecturally off the kitchen or dining table surface.

The utensil head is innovative with pierced cut-outs within the form of the head, these cut-outs allow foodstuff to be gripped internally, with a gentler cupping of the food so as not to damage the food. This has eliminated the historical serrated teeth that are frequently used in tongs.

“I just received my tongs. What an exquisitely beautiful thing. Beautiful craftsmanship – and so shiny, too. They are a work of art! I don’t know whether to display them on the wall, or use them.”
