Mahogany

The Mahogany cutlery range is inspired by the fruit of the mahogany tree. The pear-like shaping of the fruit reminded William of the machine pressing tools used to press the depth of the spoon bowls in the cutlery making process. William replicated the shape into the spoon bowls and then deliberately left a crease/witness line in the handle to highlight where the bowl pressing tool meets the steel of the handle. In a sense, highlighting the manufacturing process by leaving the witness mark. The handles, in brushed satin, are masked to the edges of the utensil head on each item, knives, forks and spoons, making a design feature of the mirror polished heads offset against the satin handles. The back of each spoon and fork head is brushed satin finish to match the handles. The Mahogany cutlery sets are made in heavy gauge 18/10 stainless steel.
